Pastor Weekly - 9/30/26
Hello ICC Family!
Come and listen, all you who fear God,
and I will tell you what he did for me.
Psalm 66:16 (NLT)
What a wonderful praise and testimony service we had this past Sunday! Thanks to the worship team for leading us and thanks to each and every person that shared about how God is at work in their lives.
One of the ministries of our church is leading a worship service at Pinewood Square residence home every Tuesday morning. We sing a lot of old hymns together and then I preach a 5-minute version of the sermon from Sunday to the residents. There are always some staff and visitors walking through as the service is going on. I shared the verse above towards the end of the service, and a man walking through the lobby stopped and surprised us all. With a booming voice he told the story of how God had spoken to him and saved him 30 years ago while he was in the military. He took the word of the Lord at face value, and upon hearing that verse decided to give testimony right then and there. He didn’t think about it… he just heard the word of the Lord and obeyed it. It was refreshing and inspiring to see, and challenged me to do a better job of taking advantage of every opportunity I have to boldly proclaim God’s goodness and love in the future…
I think all of you know… but you don’t want to miss this Sunday! It will be a special time of looking back and looking forward as we celebrate 29 years of God’s faithfulness to us at ICC. We have several special things planned, and of course as always… there will be some great food. Please bring food to share. Even more importantly, bring a friend or neighbor with you.
Blessings to you all!
And know that I am praying for you!
