Pastor Weekly - 7/1/26
Hello ICC Family!
This weekend we will be celebrating the 250th birthday of the country that we love. As we celebrate, it is natural to think about those that courageously fought to attain the freedom that we have. We are thankful for their service, and thankful that their example challenges us to be strong and courageous ourselves. As we have seen the past couple of weeks studying Joshua… that is our calling as believers - to be strong and courageous in our pursuit of Jesus and our obedience to his Word.
In our Crowfield Bible club this week we came across another example and challenge. Revelation 2:8 says:
To the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of him who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again.
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has conquered death! We have to try to wrap our minds around the fact that the One who is eternal and all-powerful, also died and then was resurrected. And his victorious resurrection is not only a victory for himself, but for his people as well…
Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who is victorious will not be hurt at all by the second death.
Revelation 2:11
Brothers and sisters, this week as we celebrate our country, let us also be celebrating the ultimate freedom that we have in Jesus Christ! Because of his courage and sacrifice we should be motivated and challenged to live life to the fullest - with strength and courage because his victory is our victory!
Blessings to you all!
And know that I am praying for you!
