Pastor Weekly - 8/19/26
Hello ICC Family!
Are you a beach person or a mountain person? I love living here in the Lowcountry, but I have to admit… if I am pressed, I would say I prefer the mountains. Growing up in Kansas, I was a long way from either of them, but almost every summer we would go to Colorado for a week. I’m sure that exposure to mountains as a child colors my opinion. However, I know I’m in the minority, especially around here. When surveys are taken, people usually prefer the beach to the mountains by a 2:1 margin. Both places, though, as well as every other geographic area - even the flat plains of Kansas! - have something in common. They are part of God’s creation, all of which proclaims his glory!
1 The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
The skies display his craftsmanship.
2 Day after day they continue to speak;
night after night they make him known.
3 They speak without a sound or word;
their voice is never heard.
4 Yet their message has gone throughout the earth,
and their words to all the world.
Psalm 19:1-4
We’re going to be talking about miracles this Sunday as we continue going through the book of Joshua. I believe the Psalm above is a reminder that we need to be way more aware of the miraculous in life. Because God is always speaking and He is always at work! Are you hearing him? Are you seeing it? If you want to prepare for Sunday, read about one of the most unique miracles in the Bible in Joshua chapter 10.
Please don’t forget about the events at the church this Saturday. Women’s Fellowship will take place at 9:30 AM, and then our generational grace event hosted by our young adult discipleship class will start at 5:00 PM.
