In so many ways we are recipients of the generous love of God. He has revealed himself to us and loved us through his actions. And in return, He asks us to reciprocate - to love him with all of our hearts, mind, and strength, and then love others as we love ourselves. 1 John 3:18 tells us we are also to love not just with words or speech, but with actions and in truth.
