Pastor Weekly - 4/9/25

Hello ICC Family!

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT)

Scripture reminds us of the blessing that it is to come together as the body of Christ.  When we are with our brothers and sisters, it should be motivating - an encouragement to each other to be bold and faithful in our service and our witness.  To that end let me tell you about some of the opportunities coming up to be a blessing to our ICC family as well as to BLESS others and invite them to join us!…

Friday, April 18th, 7:00 PM - Good Friday service

This is one of the most special and meaningful services of the year.  It is a contemplative service, focused on the death of our Savior on the cross and the price that had to be paid for our redemption.  We will partake of Communion together and leave quietly in expectation of the joy to follow on Easter morning.

Sunday, April 20th, 9:30 AM - Resurrection Day Celebration

Come at 9:30 for coffee, donuts, and snacks - a joyful time of celebration that will continue into the joyful worship service focused on Jesus’ victory over death and the grave.

Sunday, April 27th - ICC annual leadership elections

See below for more details.

Sunday, May 4th - International Service

We will be worshiping in many different languages as we celebrate the beauty and completeness of the body of Christ - to bring glory and honor to his holy name.

Sunday, May 18th - Guest Preacher

Pastor Jake Bolotano from the Filipino-American Friendship Ministry of Christ Church in Columbia, SC will join us to bring the message and encourage us.  Potluck lunch following the service!

Sunday, May 22nd - Annual Church Picnic

More details to come, but this year we will have the picnic immediately following our worship service at the Planters Walk Clubhouse right here in Crowfield.  Please mark this date on your calendar now!

Obviously, these dates are in addition to our regular weekly activities.  If you are not joining us on Wednesday evenings, I would highly encourage you to do so.  We have a growing group of people for our fellowship meal and discipleship times.  We also have a steady group of folks coming every Tuesday at noon for our Crowfield Bible Club.  The Women’s Fellowship had 15 in attendance this past Saturday morning, and the Men’s Fellowship will meet this Saturday.  There is a lot going on.  Make sure you take advantage of these opportunities to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.

Blessings to all of you and know that I am praying for you!

Pastor Aaron

PS. For those of you that have actually read this far, be prepared for a big surprise when you get to church this Sunday!
